Our Story at Pale Fire Music & Left for Dead
Discover the passion and dedication behind Pale Fire Music. Learn about our journey from a community music project to a thriving platform for original live music, driven by a love for artists and our local community.

Our inspiring beginnings
Pale Fire Music and Left for Dead began as a Not-for-Profit Community Music Project in 2018. Our mission was to bring touring artists from the UK and overseas to Oakengates in Telford, West Midlands, offering them a stage at the 100-capacity Wakes venue. Since 2022, we have expanded our reach, now hosting performances at the 200-capacity Grass Roots Venue, The Firefly, continuing our commitment to live, original music.

The dedicated team behind the music
Pale Fire Music thrives because of our passionate volunteers. Many of us grew up in the 1970s and 80s, immersed in live music, and even performed in various bands, supporting iconic artists like Eddie and the Hot Rods, Boomtown Rats, Killjoys and Angelic Upstarts during the punk and post-punk eras. This shared history fuels our commitment to fostering today's music scene.

Our driving passion for music
Our main reason for doing what we do is simple: to attract both UK and overseas artists to Telford, and crucially, to provide a vital platform for young, emerging artists. We offer them the invaluable opportunity to support established touring acts, helping them gain exposure and experience in the vibrant world of live music.

What makes us unique
What truly sets Pale Fire Music and Left for Dead apart is our unwavering commitment to being a completely volunteer-run organisation. All proceeds generated from our promotions are reinvested directly back into the project. This ensures that every artist receives a fair deal for their performances, reflecting our dedication to ethical standards and supportive music promotion.
